Front Window Blinds

Does anyone have any information/experience with these blinds? I'm going to try and post a link, so I hope it works! Thanks.

I test-drove a brand-new Winnebago ERA that had those blinds when I was shopping for an RV, before I bought my Interstate. The van I test-drove had less than 50 miles on it. One of the windshield blinds was already torn from a previous test-drive, so they're obviously not too sturdy. They're basically just made of heavy paper.

And I have heard reports that they don't block heat transfer at all, so you still have a lot of heat coming in though that big greenhouse windshield with the blinds closed.

Those are called REMI blinds, made in Germany I believe. You can google them and find sellers in the U.S.
And I agree with Protag - they are not robust.

Seems like a good idea, just poor execution. Maybe they could put some reflective mylar on the outside surface to cut down on heat transfer and add a little strength to the mat'l.

They look pretty good until I saw the price - $875. They don't look that good to me!

I like the idea of folding shades into a hidden pocket ... If they were in a sturdier fabric, maybe I'd pay that much but not for paper.
