If they are an authorized Sprinter dealer, then besides the oil change, they should undertake a pretty extensive check on all the important chassis items and maybe offer you a tire rotation. You might want to skip that at 7500 miles since it involves removing tires from the rims and is expensive.
Other than that, I've give them a list of any shake-down items that you want fixed under warranty.
And if you have clocked up more than 20 hours on the generator, it will also need a service as documented in the Onan manual. But the dealer may tell you they are not Onan service agents and refer you elsewhere. It should be taken care of anyway.

Check your Sprinter manual for the req'd services at the 10K mark. Around 10K you'll need to refill the DEF reservoir. It takes about 5 gal and is available at Sam's and Walmart for ~$10-$12 for a 2.5 gallon container. A dealer will charge you an insane amount for this service.

Don't forget that the fuel filter gets changed each 10,000 miles. I service our oil every 5000 miles, fuel filter gets replaced every other oil service and each tank of fuel gets Power Service Diesel Kleen added. DEF is topped up each oil service.

Check the MB Sprinter maintenance manual that came with the owners manual. The fuel filter change interval on my 2012 is 20,000 miles.

Ditto. Bit if you routinely use B5 biodiesel, it might be worthwhile to change the fuel filter sooner, though.

There was a software upgrade some months ago which extended the oil change interval to 20,000 miles to fall in line with the least models. It affected my 2013 Sprinter, don't which other years it applied to.

I've heard that the new Sprinters have a 15,000 mile oil change interval, but this is first I've heard of 20,000.

As I understand it, the oils in these MB diesel engines are supposed to go 15,000 miles before needing to be changed. Right?

Regardless of miles driven in between, we have had ours serviced about every 6 months over the past 7 years, spring and late fall, because we have roamed more than the average bear.

Doug always felt, given how much we went, that this was the responsible thing to do for such a valuable item. Good routine maintenance done by trusted mechanics. It's what we're told needs to be done so these will go several hundred thousand miles.

We always have the air and fuel filters checked each time, and frequently find they need replaced more often than is recommended.....I think the air filter is the one that likes to pick up sand and dust, when we have been in beloved sandy and less-loved-but-still-enjoyed dusty areas. Maybe it's the fuel filter. Someone out there will know.

The owners manual will have a maintenance schedule, which needs to be minimally followed for warranty purposes, doesn't it?

You should receive an invoice showing that each of those items have been done, then keep it.

Well it looks like I confused myself, so apologies on providing misinformation
Let me correct myself: after they upgraded the software on mine - and they didn't tell me at the time they had done it, by the way - I spotted that the "next service due in miles" information had gone up by 5000 miles.
So you're all correct and I was wrong - it's 15000 miles.
Age taking over, can't add up.

I'll have to check w/ my dealer to see if that just applies to the newer models.

Does anyone else think that 15K is too long of an interval for an oil change? I guess I'm just old school, but I've had my oil changed twice already and have just over 14K on my 2014 Ext.
