Finally. Carport. Installed.

After 3.5 months and 4 appointments we finally have our carport for the AI installed.

That looks very good.

We need a couple of those also. AZ sun is so brutal it melted our Astrodome.

I ordered this one with 8' legs plus it sits on 4x6 pressure treated timbers. Good headroom without a lot of extra space. I don't think I could get up on roof to work on anything but that is OK.

Very nice. If we were to install something similar and do it to local building code, then the next time Houston wins the World Series, we’d be able to host a whole huge party on its roof, it would be so robust. The reality (cha-ching!) of living in a windstorm area.

Preaching to the choir, we lived in Mobile, AL for 20 years.

Very nice, and your Interstate looks quite comfy in there.

It does. I think it is about the perfect height. I was a little nervous when they were putting it up. I didn't think it was going to be tall enough.

I got my outdoor power installed. I bought the box from The Home Depot. I wanted one with a breaker next to the outlet. If your cord has a handle on the end that plugs in the door may not close all the way.

Oh man that is sweet! So convenient.

I am done with the solar testing (I have mine parked on the drive way until I hear something from the HOA) and just running a 15amp extension to it to maintain the batteries. Would be great to have a 30amp outlet...

Nice installation. I did the same thing outside the garage. I love having it....so do the wasps. Came back from a trip one night. Went to plug in and felt a “crunchy, moving object”inside the box. Don’t know how I managed to avoid getting stung in that I had the nest IN MY HAND! Now I leave a small bag of mothballs inside the box when I leave. Close call....
