Dump hose retractor

My unit is possessed. Good thing its going to service on Tues.

In the mean time, my retractor isnt retracting hose.
Do I just cut it and be on my way? Fuse looks okay
I replace it and no change
Thanks

You have a mechanical dump hose retractor? Wow, that's high tech.

My retractor is my wife, and she doesn't work half the time, either. No fixing that, tho.

Problem solved
No fuse at all where a fuse for the retractor belonged.
This tells me that a mechanic removed fuse .
Wierd but at least im good to go.
Thanks for listening.
Have a good day.

What's up with the shoddy mechanic work?

Our rig was in the shop for over a month for some simple fix-it stuff. And when we picked it up, on our way back to storage, I was in the car (following my husband), and saw something dangling from the bottom of the rig. This is what they sent us home with....

Really? You've got to be kidding me. Was it time for lunch, so they just left it hanging there and then forgot about it?

Good question. I think most of these RV places are more into the sales side of the business rather than the fix-it side. Really sad since a good service dept. is a money maker.

That looks like one of the tank sensors that are glued to the outside of the fresh and grey tanks - 3 on each tank. A couple of mine have come off. Caused by the surface of the tanks not being adequately prepared before they are glued on.

That sounds exactly right! One of things they did while it was in the shop, was fix the tank sensors. Not sure if they replaced them, or exactly what they did to them.

We'll be taking it back in this week.
