You have it right for all the lights on the exterior of vehicle. The Sprinter computer will warn you when a light is out. There are LED bulbs available for Sprinter that have a resistor built in to assembly to draw the same current as an incandescent bulb.
The resister "Error-Free" LED for the rear License plate still gave me an error. The foot lights in the bottom of the doors flickered so I removed them. The only ones that didn't give me trouble were the dome and map lights. I haven't tried the turn signal lights yet.
