Wachuko,

So besides the silicone between the ceramic bowl and it's plastic base and at the bottom of the plastic base where it touches the floor, no additional caulking is required on the inner portion of this commode...it's essentially a "pressure fit" there?

Asking because it's literally "Go Time" with this Dometic 320 install...absolutely no pun intended.

The rubber seal should do its job. So correct. Besides those two areas, there is no need for additional sealant.

Just put a 321 in my 2018 GT. Would have never tried it if you hadn’t done it, from all the specs you’d never think it would fit but it dose fit just barely! Thanks for all the info and research. Life will be much better now without the flimsy plastic thing that was there.

Just wanted to chime in and say I just completed installing a Dometic 321 in a 2023 AI GT and it was a perfect fit!

No fuss at all, took maybe 15 minutes and the only tool needed is an 11mm wrench.

Ive been considering doing the same on our 2022 GT. It looks like the Dometic 311 calls for 10” clearance as opposed to 321’s 11” requirements. Why are you installing the 321 over the 311….are there benefits? Thx

The 321 is larger and much more comfortable IMO. It doesn’t take up much more space since most of the size increase is to the rear (against the wall). The 311 is nice too, but if you’re gonna do the upgrade, might as well go all the way!

The 321 is a elongated seat vs 311 round seat. Elongated giving more seat open area men prefer more room.
