A different train of thought on this, in regards to the " poop tower thread" with an elongated bowl how much difference is there in the amount of water required to get an adequate depth for proper use, between bowls.
Boondocking minds want to know..

There are workarounds to make it fit... something like these already available pocket/ recessed panel inserts would (still searching for better looking ones) allow the needed clearance on the back wall to make it work. I wanted to avoid cutting into the wall... but, with proper sealant, this will still keep everything waterproof...

Modding our toilet installation was out of the question. Here is a photo below of the remarkable technology that mates our toilet to our black tank. It's called a drilled hole. I took this pic to show that the plywood underneath the fiberglass wasn't even water-sealed, which is really, really bad in a black water environment. So I sealed it with the enamel that I had on hand, which just happened to be fire-engine red. This LITERALLY looks like lipstick on a pig.
We can't bump our wet bath wall back because there's infrastructure on the other side of it. We'd be bumping into our refrigerator.
The cost-benefit analysis simply doesn't work on this one, in other words. Males simply have to tuck and roll to deal with it.
Oh, as info, we were in the process of tightness-testing the black system, hence the temporary cap on top of the black tank in this photo. We had filled it to the brim with clean water and were doing a down-the-road slosh-a-thon.

I am trying to find a place where to buy this recessed panel... the company ( SSI ) does not sell direct and distributors do not have it in stock. Will call a distributor to see if they can special order...

Well... order placed... I read a couple of reviews where folks mentioned needing 10.5" from wall to center of flange to do the install... I might just have that... Just hoping that I do not have to cut the wall... counting on clearance and some flex of the wall if it is too close... I know specs call for 11", but was encourage to buy based on folks documenting a minimum of 10.5" in their installs...
I did try to find on locally to look at it and measure. To see if the 321 has that plastic cover that looks like it is only to cover the vacuum breaker valve...
Edit: Never mind, that cover is only on the 310... anyway, fingers crossed that I can get it to fit...

This should be the actual photo of a low profile 320... that will be one big cut out if I have to modify the wall... oh boy...

WACHUKO - since you're only talking less than an inch, rather than doing a major bathroom remodel (we know how PITA that is even in our stick house), can you gain that room by modifying/shaving that part of the toilet seat cap which seems to be sticking out a bit and/or routing that line inside it sideways? Hard for me to tell w/ just pics & diagram

Wished I could... that rear part, initially, I thought it was plastic... turns out that, on the 320, it looks to be ceramic...

It is finally here! That took awhile, goodness, something happened during shipping and UPS just kept moving the delivery date, this while still showing sitting at the local distribution site here in Orlando... anyway, it is finally here!!
And still optimistic that it will fit... measured against the door to the center of the hole for mounting it - 10.5" !!!
I will install it as soon as I get off from work!

Wow...
1. Make sure water pump is off or that city water is disconnected. Flush any water or seal lubricant from the toilet.
2. Undo water connection in the back of toilet. No tools required.
3. Remove plastic bolt covers (2).
4. Using an 11mm wrench, remove the nuts from the bolts holding the toilet down (2).
5. Lift and remove old toilet.
6. Place new toilet over bolts. I reused existing gasket. Kept the new one in storage in case it is ever needed.
7. Install washer and nuts. Tighten down.
8. Connect water line.
Done... that easy!!! Bolt on!! The crown jewels will be happy!!

Forgot something to share... Install instructions clearly call out for using caulk around the base when installing in wet-baths... The factory install did not have anything around the base... I used white silicone...
Apply a bead of white silicone sealant around base of toilet to prevent water seepage under the base.
Also, since I could not find the left-over 3M film I had... used some clear gorila tape between wall and toilet to protect the wall since the toilet touches the wall (a sheet of paper does not go all the way through)... just a preventive measure.
