Timbren Rear Suspension Enhencement System TMBRSP35A

Hoping to improve the ride comfort on the back sofa seat, I previously installed the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhencement System (TMBRSP35A) for my 2011 Airstream Intersate. I asked my wife to compare the ride quality on the back sofa seat before and after. She said it improved somewhat but still quite bumppy. She might be biased.... ... My Mother-in-Law rode on the back sofa seat from LA to Phoenix, and she commented that it was like riding a horse.... I am the only driver of my AS, so I don't get a chance to evaluate myself.

I suspect that due to the one ton load rating, the only way to improve the ride short of carrying max load is to get different shocks. The springs have to be stiff enough to support max load which will make the ride quite stiff. I learned this growing up on a farm when driving an empty 3/4 ton pickup both full and empty.

I almost went with these myself but was talked out of it by the people and the sprinter store for exactly the reason you mention. Not much of a difference in ride quality. I'd love to compare my AS with one setup with the full airbag suspension
