I think you can do better on a preowned.Just scour the internet. That is yhe same price as you could buy a new one with some negotiating.

Thank you, Protagonist. You are so right. This is starting to remind me of the Nissan Juke forum I used to be on, where everyone was trying to outdo everyone else with what kind of gas mileage they get.

And, with that said, the big news is, WE BOUGHT ONE!!!

Bought a new late model 2013 that has the 2014 body...2014 on a 2013 chassis...however you want to look at it. Got a great price, that we're happy with. Nuff said!!! She's real pretty, and we look forward to bringing her home and naming her!

Thank you!!

So much to do now, including deciding on a bike rack (would love to find a rack that can carry bikes and surfboards), finding camping chairs without arms (for playing music), buy a little bbq, and figuring out how to make a good doggie area (might remove the seat behind the driver's seat), and agreeing on a shampoo and body wash to put in the shower dispenser!

FUN TIMES!!!!

There are threads on all of these topics already here at the Forums. Even the surfboard rackó I think the best mount would be a rack on the driver's side, like this one:
Surfboard Transport Racks

You're on your own when it comes to the shampoo, though; as you can see from my picture at left, I don't need it! I would suggest that you leave one dispenser for waterless hand sanitizer, though.

Cool surfboard racks!

And I saw one of your other posts about the hand sanitizer. Thought it was a great idea too!

Thanks!

Now that's a great idea Protagonist! My wife kept a sanitizer in its bottle in the passenger door that kept rattling, and it never dawned on me to use the dispenser in the shower. I'm glad I hadn't used the 3rd dispenser yet.

Woops, a little typo there, it was actually 119,600.00 I'm not near the AS now but I believe the sticker was 144 and some change.

I don't disagree with you too often, Protag () but I think discussing prices and deals this way would help to encourage a healthy rivalry between dealers and be in everyone's interests long-term.

Does it really help for folks to know that I got my 2012 Interstate brand-new (63 miles on the odometer, 20 of which were from my own test-drive) for just $103,750? With the second TV in the lounge area added at no charge?

I'd say yes it does as it gives one a data point in negotiations. Similar to knowing what other folks make doing the same job make does when negotiating salary.

I think it is good to know but if buying we should not forget that every dealer has a different cost structure. Having excellent service people cost more. We all know our device varies from dealer to dealer.
All the prices change all the time anyhow so what you paid a year ago does not mean a lot today anymore it only makes me think I should have purchase a year ago.
Just my 2 cents on the subject.
Thanks
Peter

Agreed, but threads like this are a great resource for someone who is shopping. When we bought our unit two years ago I was very frustrated that I could not find any pricing discussion on the forum to determine what to shoot for in my negotiation. If we can provide info to help others negotiate a better deal, I think that's a good thing!
