Broken rear view camera

I need to replace the rear view camera that is located just above the rear doors.

Does anyone have experience replacing this camera?

I had my mechanic do it, but I was there for part of the process. In my 2012 the wire comes in and turns to the drivers side, then runs above the cabinets all the way down the roof line to the front of the vehicle. Airstream told him it connected through the cabinet with all the electrical stuff on the curb side . . . it didn't. Pulling the new wire from the back to the front above those cabinets required a lot of skill, persistence, luck and a lack of fear. If it were up to me to make the repair I'd try and find a wireless camera. Mine was under warranty and Airstream paid him for the repair. I think it was 6 or 7 hours of labor (at a shop that charges $90/hour).

Rear view camera

My camera works but the plastic cover lens is scratched and distorts the image. I understand from Airstream it is a Pioneer Pioneer ND-BC5
Universal rear-view rear view camera. There are some on eBay.
Be nice if to find a way to repair or replace only the lens.

Thank you for your response.

The plastic headlight restoration kits are also available at most auto parts stores.
