Black Gray valves trouble shoot

09 Airstream Black valve refuses to open and red light stays on. Switch itself is OK reversed switches same problem. Works sometimes seems like a loose wire. Where will I find the motors that open the valves? There does not seem to be a manual way to open them.?

The dump valves have a manual override; it is a flat head screwdriver slot on the end of the valve motor shaft. See page G-16 of the Interstate manual. If you don't have the manual, you can download a pdf copy from the Airstream website.

Good luck,
Wayne

Main outlet pumps ok

I have used that valve no luck. The valve at the tank black mainly does not open with switch. I do not know where the main black valve is located, can guess but am not able to see...

Since the black tank is above floor level right under the toilet, my guess is the black valve is passenger side, right where the 3" hose goes up through the floor.

Thumbs up Airstream Fix

The black valve has a open close on the side with arrows to show direction 1/8 allan does the trick. turning this a few times it freed up and am now using the valves normal. NO Cost thanks to Airstream counseling

Thanks Airstream
