Rivets

Luckydog,
I registered with the forum 3/9/02. I enjoyed asking so many questions about my Excella and then passing on advice from what I learned that it added up quickly. I think I earned my 5th rivet a couple months ago. (I edited my post to better help Luckydog.) After performing a forum search, I am aflicted with "sometimers" or CRS, I found Organic Hosting's post for rivets: 1 rivet for 5 posts, 2 rivets for 20 posts, 3 rivets for 100 posts, 4 rivets for 250 posts and 5 rivets (Rivet Master) for 500 posts. Rivets are incentive to get on the board, ask questions and at the same time help others with their questions. I like helping people who have either helped me with my new found baby or those going through the same thing I went through when I made my purchase. It sure makes it much easier to maintain your coach when you have the forum's help.

Craig, great idea, the rivet thing. Nice way to keep people contributing. I don't have anything to contribute yet, just my saga with the breaker switch so far! I see you're from TN, are you near Dale Hollow Lake?

Dale Hollow is not real near here. We do have Tims Ford Lake, Normandy Lake and Woods Reservoir so fishing can be interesting. Nashville is 70 miles away and there are a few good lakes there such as Persey Priest. I use to fish for bass in Guntersville lake in AL. but the fellow who use to take me has cancer and just sold his boat. He is in his 80's and I hate to see him like this. He loved fishing and quail hunting with his pointers.

Sorry to hear about your friend. We used to go to Dale Hollow a lot when I lived in KY. Took the boat down there and spent days on the lake. Very nice clear water, lots of good fishing. Good shore fishing and a great campsite below the dam. You used to be able to tour the hydro power generation section.

Thanks for the comment. I turn 52 on 11/21 and remember 7 yrs. ago 2 young kids coming out of the woods the same time as me. We started talking and it somehow got around to ages. One of the kids said "Gosh, I sure hope I'm able to hunt when I'm 45. How do you do it, it must be rough?" I started laughing because I plan on being in the woods when I'm 70 if I can help it.

Yeah, I get comments like that from kids now...I just turned 52 in October and kids think I'm a geezer. Well maybe I am, but I don't feel like it mentally. I stay a little active. Used to hunt and fish a lot but here in NJ my outdoor sports have turned to occasionally scuba diving on the shipwrecks off the shore here, and kayaking. And I spend a lot of my weekend nights playing bass in a band I'm in (with other geezers like myself!). Hope I have a few years left...then those kids can consider me a senior geezer.

My brother-in-law and his wife use to scuba dive all the time. I've done a little diving in rock quarries in TN. and some down in FLA. but that was 20 yrs. ago. I had problems equalizing pressure in my ears so I could not go down very far. I didn't need to because I was fascinated with the fish swimming around. My dad was from Heightstown, N.J. and his brother and wife still live in Mutenchen (that somehow does not look like the right spelling. Anyway, glad to see that both of us are still kicking and plan on living it up as long as we can.

It Works! It Works!

Well, its been one week since my breaker install, and my coach battery is maintaining a full charge. Everything is working well. Peter, thank you very much for the suggestion, I'm sure you saved me hours of diagnosis.
