Auxiliary Chassis Battery

I don't know if this is already posted here, but the vestigial auxiliary battery under the hood has at least one good use.

I'm still trying to diagnose my chassis battery/BIM dead battery problem but I found out that this works in a pinch

Say hello to my little friend. Jump yerself.

Not sure from your picture where you are connecting the negative lead to the vehicle. The proper spot is the negative post above the aux battery on the LH fender wall. Here is what my Sprinter owner's manual says about this.

It was just a miscellaneous bracket close-by that was also grounded to the vehicle.

I have my dashcam and WeBoost connected to the aux chassis battery via the cigarette lighter socket under the driver's seat.

Nice! I actually store my jumper cables on top of the Aux battery with a bungie cord (easy access as a Good Samaritan)
