All of the Interstate Dodges are younger than 2007, as far as I know (but I could be wrong). 2007 was the last model year that Airstream used the T1N, but those were 2006 Sprinters, unless toward the tail end of the model year they also used some 2007s. Which wouldn't surprise me because they seemed to move into 2008 finishes at the end of the 2007 production year. I've seen a few T1Ns that look more like NCV3 Interstates on the interior.

If anyone discovers different or updated info, please post.

If your Sprinter is a 2006 model then it's probably OK as the problem started with 2007 models. All Sprinters were made by Daimler Vans, remember once the Dodge Sprinters were sold by the now defunct DaimlerChrysler (1998-2007). To be sure your van is not included in this recall you can go to this NHTSA web and enter your VIN to check.

I currently have 5 BMW's. Two of them are affected by the recall (3 bags total) and none have been replaced. Intolerable. The first notice received is dated 3/15. I have called BMW dealer numerous times with the same answer that parts are not available and I will be notified when parts become available...not holding my breath.

This threads started as an Interstate one, but became a Takata airbag one fast.

Looks like parts will not be available for a very long time. The notices that only go to humid locations may not catch vehicles that once were in humid locations and are not now. And the southern states are not the only humid areas of the country. Have they notified people in the midwest, northeast or northwest?

So far neither of our Toyotas are involved, but maybe someday. I wonder if it is safer to disconnect the airbag circuit? So/me will say you have less chance of a bad airbag than of getting into an accident and being saved by an airbag—are there any good statistics on that?

I doubt it. It's probably harder to prove "he would be dead if it wasn't for his airbag" than it would be to prove "he would be alive if it wasn't for his airbag." After all, a medical examiner can determine cause of death, but not cause of survival.

It's hard to call them statistics when they're really only second-guesses.

Got mine today. Driver's side only. Sounds like it'll be awhile before we see new airbags.

Got my letter today. Very pissed off. We're trying to sell ours. Now how the heck do you sell this vehicle with a major recall like this?

Toyota had some recalls for passenger side bag and their advice was to disconnect the airbag, and put a sign on your dash telling people not to sit in that seat. Don't think that'll work with the AI's, since it's the freakin' driver side bag.

Phooey......

Maybe just to tell to potential buyers that this is not necessary that your airbag will be deployed while they will be driving a van )))

Sorry for kidding, but nothing you really could do about it.

The recall does not stop you from selling the vehicle, although it might affect the price. Only new car dealers are prohibited from selling new vehicles with open recalls not yet repaired.

Oh, yes, I realize I can still sell it. Just wondering who will want it, and how much they'll be willing to pay for it. This is definiteley not good.

If dealers can't sell them, then wouldn't they not want to take them in trade? And when replacement parts arrive, dealers usually replace the items in vehicles on their lots before they notify their customers.

There seem to be 10's of millions more vehicles that may be recalled and it will take many years to make enough replacements for every vehicle. If they are difficult to sell or dealers won't take them, eventually new car and truck (and Interstate too) sales will drop and some better solution to this mess will have to happen. There have been successful suits against other manufacturers on lost value because of problems and I'm sure there are a bunch of suits progressing against Takata.
