Air Conditioner / Furnace Thermostat

I have a 2010 Interstate 3500. My thermostat has no readings; no functions at all. I can't set fan, air or heat because i have no reading on the unit. Any ideas?

Start with the basics: check the fuse panel. Look around: anything else electronic not working? Is your battery OK?

The circuit breaker is on, I checked the 20 amp fuse at the driver's seat and it measured as not blown. Starting battery new, house batteries charged. No other issues that I have noticed.

According to the manual the thermostat is fed by CKT 5. Copied from page H-15:

CIRCUIT 5, 20 AMP, BLUE
BATH CEILING VENT
MAIN AREA CEILING VENT
LOUNGE READING LIGHTS
FURNACE & THERMOSTAT
AC & THERMOSTAT (OPTION)
ENERGY MANAGEMENT DISPLAY MODULE

Hope this helps,
Wayne

My unit had a 20 amp fuse five spaces from the left and not #5. I'll check the other circuits you mentioned.

The unit is at a Freightliner service center right now to get a 30,000 mile check-up, but I should get it back later this week.

And, Maggie, I didn't ask them to check the cabin filter. I may have to do that myself.

The fuse I'm talking about is in the 12v Distribution panel installed by Airstream, not the fuse panel under the seat. Ckt. #5 in the 12v panel is the 5th fuse up from the bottom.

If all the other loads listed for Ckt. #5 are working, then the fuse is not your problem.

It depends on which model you have. For the Lounge model, according to page H-11 of the owners manual:
"...12-volt distribution panel, located inside the rear center lounge door..."

On the Twin model, it is under the forward end of the roadside bed.

FWIW; you can get a copy of the Owners Manual in pdf format from the AS website.

Let me first say that if you ever want to sell your unit and have it professionally cleaned to look it's best, you should have my wife do it. We don't have a business but a glass of wine and good conversation might coax her to help you. (I would suggest the wine following the cleaning.)

That being said, we found our issue. During a cleaning of the unit, a switch on the heating unit was accidently turned to the "off" position. This caused a shutdown of the entire circuit and left us with no power to the thermostat. This was found by a local RV repair shop as they verified the circuit breaker and fuses were good and then traced the wiring to the switch on the heating unit. turning it on activated the thermostat.

You were all very helpful and I thank each of you and appreciate your help. I posted this as I thought it would be helpful in future situations if this cropped up as a question or issue and to bring closure for those of you who have been trying to help.

In the meantime, I have purchased a bag of fuses to keep with us to help with future issues.

It is really a circuit breaker. You can see it as item #20 on the parts blow up drawing on page 8 of the Atwood manual but it isn't clear where it's physically located. Logically, it would be found behind the front cover.

It is directly behind the front cover. As the cover was removed to clean dust from the vents then to clean the front of the unit under the outside cover, the breaker or switch was accidently bumped to off.
