Funny you should mention that! I actually DO have a very nice campsite reserved in the nicest, most centrally located RV park in the Columbia River Gorge. And at half the going seasonal daily rate too!

You are correct on the second point. Please send me a PM or even better, an e-mail to lew@gorge.net to discuss your needs.

THANKS!

Wierdstuff,

Make sure your installer knows you intend to store your unit indoors. The quiescent current of the solar controller will, over time, drain the batteries, if directly connected to the batteries while the unit is sitting in the dark for more than a few weeks.

I tied mine in on the house side of the battery disconnect for that reason.

I'll be in ABQ in october and can show you how I installed mine, but if you have questions that won't wait, just let me know...

Steve

Thanks Steve. Good to know, since we do store it indoors!

Just so you know, I include a direct cut-off switch in all of my solar installations for this exact purpose.

Lew, we forgot to ask you about this. Did you do this on ours? If so, where is it, and do we just use it when we put her in storage?

To everyone else....Lew completed our install today. We're super excited about now having 200w of solar.

Lew was a total pleasure to work with. Not only do we have more solar, but we feel like we have a better understanding of our power system and its draws.

An added bonus to having the solar install, was that we got to come see this absolutely gorgeous part of the country!
