Question Add a 4th Solar Panel?

Trying to be done with all mods, or as Protagonist would say... we are never done but instead we take breaks in between mods... some longer than others... or something along those lines

Should I add a 4th solar panel?

I have the chassis battery and the 4 AGM Lifeline - GPL-24T house batteries.

The space is there to exactly fit one more...

Or just do not bother and leave the system as is?

Add as much as you can, it doesn’t hurt.

How are you liking those flex panels? I had read that they get hot and can delaminate? Are they better these days?

No idea how they will hold with time... will have to let others that have had them in their rigs for awhile, chime in. These do come with a 5 year warranty from the manufacturer... Go-Power

I will go ahead and order the additional panel. I am concerned that with the fan vent cover I will put some shade over the panel next to it and diminishing its efficiency.

Thinking of also ordering these to simplify the hook up of all 4 panels. The other setups that I have seen use the 2 input branch connectors and that becomes a bulky connection when hooking up 3 or more panels...

Was planning of fixing the panel in place with some 3M VHB tape. Do not want to drill the roof...maybe use epoxy in each corner as reinforcement...

Use VHB and the sikaflex 221, it won’t go anywhere.

I used VHB 4950 for the feet on my solar install. That is the kind recommended by AMSolar and Lewster.
