AC Power issues

Please help, Purchased 2012 Interstate in July made one trip has been at dealer end of July to Sept. 21. PROBLEM= On gennerator or shore power with TrippLite set at unit to auto remote, remote pannel set to line/charge. Every time the air cond. compressor cycles on, tv and sat lose power and must reset. Airstream says put remote swith in inverter position this seems to solve problem but dealer says, yes this works but problem is still there. Tripp Lite says they are ok on either setting and would not side either way. This unit has lesss than 3,500 miles and over 100 hours on the gennerator due to dealer testing. Please advise how you are operating your units.

Welcome to the forum.

I'll have to look at mine when I get back from service.

When I'm connected to shore power or on generator, I set the Tripplite to "charge only" at the panel under the rear sofa. That's the same as putting the Tripplite switch on auto/remote and the remote switch on line/charge, except that I'm taking the remote panel completely out of the loop. I've had no problem with the air conditioner causing anything else to drop out.

Your problem might not be with the air conditioner OR the Tripplite unit. It could be your Energy Management System (EMS) that handles the automatic load-shedding routines when the total load goes over the available amperage. When you're on generator power, the generator is only putting out 20 amps, not 30. You might want to verify that the EMS is recognizing a 20-amp max load when you're on generator power and a 30-amp max load when you're on shore power.
