A few interior questions trim questions

I was wondering if anyone knows the name and brand of the light wood grain laminate used for walls and cabinets in the first attached pic. It seems like it was used between 2009 and at least 2016 according to the brochures that I found online, but it's only listed as "light camel interior laminate". It's also the second picture, which is basically my interior but with dark grey seating. I want to make anything I add on match.

Second question is the window surrounds. My 2010 looks like the second picture (Plastic coverings and the shades just flopping around). I really like the window framing from 2011 and on like Pic 3.

Anyone with that type of framing: Do you know how they are attached? Are there hidden screws or just door trim tabs hidden behind the panels to pop them into place? And when you look inside the frame, can you see the plastic trim behind the panel around the window, or did they do something there as well?

Just curious. I can build panels like that, I would just like to know how they attached them. I was also thinking of using pull down shades instead of the two part blinds that I have now (they're looking rough).

Thanks for any input.

Wilsonart Asian Sand, high gloss.
Home Depot sells the low gloss version by special order. We talked to the salesperson and he ordered the high gloss for us.

It has always pained me to know that all of our expensive rv's are assembled from Home Depot parts

Really, really don’t want the thread to be killed by accidentally going political.

Retailer vs Manufacturer

As retailers, neither Home Depot nor Lowes make parts. Parts come from manufacturers.

What is discomforting about using an organization that has sufficient buying power and economies of scale to get you a better price as long as the product matches your need? It certainly is much cheaper than what Airstream charges when they source it for you from the same manufacturer.

HD charges ~$77 a 4x8 sheet, Lowes ~$83/sheet, and it is more than $110/sheet just about everywhere else.

SEEMORE - Geewhiz, lighten up, why does everyone have to take everything so seriously? It was said in jest, kinda like a joke, kinda like sarcastically - was that not obvious from the emoticon? I shop at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Amazon, ebay, all the cheaper places all the time. If it's cheaper than than Airstream, I am in. Heck if Walmart sold Airstreams, I would buy it there. Did I mention it was said in jest? Geez!

Next time, I will preface everything with this warning:

" The following statement is made in jest - please do not take seriously ".
BTW - I do know HD & Lowes does not manufacture parts. I was born at night, but I was not born last night.
" The previous statement is made in jest - please do not take seriously ".

Thanks, that looks similar but not the exact match (by the picture anyways). This light color has cross hatching where that one appears to be straight grain.

I was thinking of going to the box stores but even browsing the sample colors online, there's an overwhelming amount of shades and grains. I was hoping someone knew what it was.

Anyone have any details on the window coverings?

Pic 1 = Wilsonart Asian Sand
Pic 2 = Utensil drawer I made using the blank that was already there
Pic 3 = another example of the laminate used.

WOODROWB - The one person I know who has posted lots of the cabinet & window covering mods in your color scheme is PAHASKA (John Irwin). Hopefully, he chimes.

BTW - Nice work on the custom drawer, notches & all. I wanted to extend mine & also convert the flip down to shallow drawer but the notch did not even occur to me. Thanks for great idea!

Suggest you order a sample from Wilsonart...

https://www.wilsonart.com/catalog/product/view/id/1738

The samples are free and you can also search their design library and see if there is something else that might look closer...

I had enough matching laminate left over from the couch to twin bed conversion for everywhere a slight difference would show. For the new items, like the rear shelf, that didn't abut existing laminate, I simply used the plain Asian Sand laminate from Lowe's with a couple of coats of gloss clear spray. No one notices the slight difference.

Found it!!, Wilsonart Gold Alchemy

The WilsonArt brand gave me a narrower search. I've looked through all the major brands websites but there are thousands of different samples. At least with the WilsonArt brand, you gotta figure they would stick to one brand. I didn't even see it on their website but I already had to run to the box stores.

HD, of course was useless. After waiting for 20 minutes to find a person, I asked where their laminate samples are. The lady said they just had the 16 samples on the wall and looked clueless when asked about ordering anything.

Lowes had samples and I found the match within 5 samples! Well, the gloss version anyways. Mine looks satin.

Thanks for the replies with the brand name.

Good work! You discovered another laminate used on Interstates. I think I like it better than Asian Sand. It looks like bamboo...

Our FC 2015 uses Wilson Art Artisan Gold laminate. I preferred a sheet through Lowes.
