Flew home today, went straight to daughter's house to pickup my AI after she used it all weekend. Decide to empty all tanks, then ran faucets to put few gallons in Grey to test and then fill fresh water around 75%. My daughter's driveway has a slight slope (no idea of pitch), AI is slightly nose down.
Tanks readings are:
F=79 G=15 B=0 LPG=68
Drove 35 mins. away to gas station near my house. I can feel slab is not perfectly flat.
Tanks readings are:
F=93 G=15 B=0 LPG=61
Drove 5 mins. away into my garage. AI completely inside garage, inside slab is perfectly flat, no slope.
Tanks readings are:
F=100 G=15 B=0 LPG=56
Observation - it looks like Fresh & LPG sensors are on opposite ends of their tanks. Because as the AI levels out, they change readings in opposite directions. They are both long, narrow tanks mounted along the length of chassis, between the axles. So slope affects them exactly same other than sensor placement.
But why does Grey not change from 15%. Black is completely empty, so 0 all the way. From some basic testing, my Grey sensors track ok. If I use 50% of Fresh, my Grey would bump to 65-70%
As a side - during my Firefly front panel replacement, I discovered this SEELEVEL II display tie-wrapped behind the panel. What's up with this? Did not even know it was behind there. Why hide it? There was certainly enough room (though tight) to put it alongside the other displays if they re-positioned them. Will figure out a way to bring this outside later.
