2017 Daytime running lights

Which lights are used as the DRL? I thought it was suppose to be the LED strip in the bottom of the headlights? I noticed that nothing lights up for mine when driving in the daytime. The LED, fog and amber lights up when locking and unlocking in the convenience mode. I don't have an option in the settings menu for DRL. Is there suppose to be a DRL?

On my '15 Ford F150 it seems that DRL work only when the light control knob on the dash is in the automatic mode. And the truck is in forward or reverse gears. Maybe MB does a similar thing?

Did you have the parking brake on? Take a look with the partking brake off and see if there is a difference.

I seem to recall that on our 2014 AI (2013 sprinter) there was a setting for DRL. Check out the Mercedes operators manual.

If your vehicle does NOT have DRLS, then get in the habit of turning on your headlights.

When we bought out 06 interstate one of the things I did was disable the drl. Too bright for campground coming and going.

You may have to have the vehicle in drive or reverse or out of park for the lights to come on. My f150 has to be out of park with the lights set on automatic for the drl's to come on.

I've tried it all now, I've come to the conclusion I don't have DRLs. It's not even an option on the settings menu. Just curious what others are experiencing as far as DRL.

I had a BMW that had DRL's but the default setting was off. You had to let the dealer know that you wanted them turned on, and they would use a laptop connected to OBD port to change the option to on. This was before cars had video displays, however.

This is the answer - take it to a MB Sprinter dealer and have them activate the DRLs if you want them. Canadian Sprinters have their DRL turned on. There is no video display in a Sprinter.
