We're sitting in the lobby of the Mercedes Benz North Orlando. It's very nice, so at least there's that.

We got about 2 gallons of DEF in, so it was definitely low. The warning light and start counter didn't reset as we drove 40 miles or so to the dealership. We're waiting on the diagnostic output, but their experience is the Nox sensors are likely shot. They see a lot of this, and blame dealers for not topping off the tanks when they sell them. 2 gallons filled it to a few inches from the top of the fill spout, so there should have still been 3 gallons. I guess we'll find out in a few hours....

Is there an easy way to check level of DEF? Aside from waiting for the DEF sensor to tell me? I've got a little over 2K total miles and I bought it with 1K on it. (it was a show vehicle for the dealer). Hopefully all the early bugs or loose items were bounced out in those 1,000 miles they drove it ;-).

Not that I'm aware of. You can either fill it now and note the mileage or take a gallon of DEF with you on any long trips.

I never take any DEF with me on a trip. I'm never that far from a Walmart where I can buy more.

Whatever works for you. I was just offering some alternatives to the OP.

Shakedown Cruise Day 3

Day 2 highlight was the Seven Dwarves Mine Train Ride. The coach performed perfectly while sitting in a campground...

Day 3 started with about 2 gallons of DEF. When the countdown of doom didn't reset we headed to Mercedes Benz North Orlando. 7 hours later we had a new upstream Nox sensor. They were amazingly thorough--they've become quite familiar with the problem. I can't imagine we could have done better finding a shop for the problem. They were happy to have us and the dogs in their waiting area; they drove us to a local eatery with outdoor seating so we could have lunch with the dogs, and most of all they apparently fixed the problem! Kudos to Peter Dixon and team.

Where is your leak? How and what attempts were made to stop the leak?
Has there been other damage from the leak ?

Welcome to the AirForums.

Helps to quote the post you are referring to so the OP (original poster) knows who you are referencing.
