Red face 2015 GT Fridge Heater problem?

We were camping and it was cold at night so we turned on the furnace. The furnace in the 2015 Grand Tour is located right next to the fridge. Well, really the furnace exhausts into the coach right (I mean RIGHT) next to the freezer. We don't sleep with the furnace on, but in the morning the ice cream was liquid. No comments on my choice of breakfast food. I did have the ice cream on the bottom shelf. Anybody else have this issue?

Are you certain that the fridge was still operational? AC/DC fridges with Danfoss compressors typically have great performance, especially in warm to hot ambient temperatures like with your furnace operating.

I thought everyone ate ice cream for breakfast. Was the ice cream still frozen before the furnace was turned on?

The ice cream was frozen when I put it in there, but by morning, soup. I had put the ice cream on the bottom shelf. There were three ice cube trays and they were still frozen hard. The trays were in that top shelf part.

Don't know what the temp. of your freezer runs at but I do know that ice cream needs to be at 0*F or below to be firm. And the richer the ice cream, the colder it must be kept. Since the ice cubes were still frozen, we know it's at least below 32*F.

My bar frig set as cold as it will go will not keep ice cream bars frozen hard.
