My Kitty rides in the TV with me usually in the lap or asleep in the back seat.

I'd get a crate and threaten to use it for whoever gets grumpy!!! The dog will love it and your son will be too worried you might make good on the threat!

Our two standard poodles, Sabrina and Ellie, have the back seat of the Ridgeline all to themselves. The space between the front and back seats is filled with our luggage so they have a roomy platform to stretch out on.

Thumbs up Where To Ride

After eight years of riding loose in the back of the old Blazer,we were

involved in a fairly severe fender-bender...J.D. (just dog) would never

again get in the truck on his own.

Fado is perfectly happy riding in his crate in the back of the Burb.

We usually stop every three hours for a comfort brake...happy dog

happy dog!!

I have a Question?Where Has this thread been? I am just now seeing it and it dates back to 10/2006.?
I have pics but not small enought to post. We just bought our 77 Overlander in OCT so we didn't get a trip. Our 2 Schunazers have taken over the goucho when ever the door to the trailer is open and Im work in there.
They will however ride in the crew cab with my wife and I,Amanda on the backseat and Gidget on my lap.. Oh neither one drives,LOL

They're getting along better since that post over a year ago. The dog has mellowed and the boy doesn't get as bored as he used to. Things are a little more harmonious in the back see now.

In The Backseat

Our two Maltese/Poodles ride in the backseat for the most part. They love to be up front, but that gets difficult to manage when trying to drive. We sometimes put a baby gate up to keep them in the back.

We have a seat belt for our Sulley. He doesn't like it because it restricts his movement...but that is the idea. We got one for our previous dog about 17 years ago and have used one since. I don't want him flying around the cabin in the event of an emergency stop or worse. Plus, it keeps him from trying to get into my lap while I drive. He is so glued to me that he would try if he had the chance.

BTW, Ihall, that's a cutie!

I got one of these for the rear seat of the Tundra. Our two large dogs seem to like it. It also keeps the dog hair under control.
