where do you keep the dog

we just bought a dog a bordeaux dog now just a pup 8 weeks 19 lbs
but where to keep it in the trailor when it is grown up
its about 140 lbs of dog when adult

I am thinking of removing the bath and put a bench in that place
I'm 6ft8 bath tub is to small for me we do not use it

Keep the tub. Put a soft cushioned dog bed in the tub. Maybe your new dog will need a bath?

We have a GSD and a Golden. Even though our AS is 30' long, it still gets cramped when my wife and I are inside with them. Since we spend most of the time outside when camping, we keep them on a lead by the trailer when we're at the campsite. At night they sleep with my wife on the front couch

We travel with three pooches of various sizes and constitutions. Here's our bedtime sleeping solution (of course the Russell always ends up in the "real" bed up front

I got tired of piling things on the bed and sofa to create a barricade for my two Golden Retrievers so I purchased two coverlets. I use them on the bed and sofa and just toss them in the wash after a camping trip.

Our only Rally in 2004 we were pretty worried about what we were going to do with our girls. But we were very lucky that we were at a huge fair ground site. So we could get the "Off Lead" exercise they so badly need everyday.

They are both great travelers in the car and are extremely well behaved. With all that said as you can see by the pictures the small double in the back gets pretty tiny with two great big dogs!!!! We have dog beds for them one on the floor and one on the forward couch. The black one likes her own space at night - but the white one grew up on the bed from a puppy (ohhh ahhh not on the bed- yikes!)

They were great when we left them for the functions and one of us always check on them every 20 minutes - not a peep. They only let off little barks when we were with them and they heard people walking by the trailer at night.

However - for our first big trip this winter we will be leaving them at home with Nana and Grandpaw. We hope to get in some great Kayaking, cycling and golf while in Florida - and while they are great on our paddleboat - they don't do so well in the Kayak, or on the golfcourse and have not learned to ride a bike yet

The reason I bought the Bambi is so my baby could travel with me. Most of the time she goes where I go; however, sometimes she has to stay home. Fortunately, she is crate trained and LOVES her crate. The Bambi is small, so I got one of these:

They have different sizes. It folds flat in a second, which is great.

I am amazed at how quickly my girl learns the parameters of her "yard" at various campsites without the tie-down.

My advice is to crate train the new baby NOW!!!! It is a safe place for the dog when it needs its own space and will provide you the security of knowing your dog is safe while you are away.

We have an 8pd peek a poo, and she sleeps with one of us. We tried the dog bed, but finaly gave up. We are well trained by her! I keep her on the leash when out side, since she is not afraid of anything, or anyone, and will just go off and follow them.
She is well behaved most of the time, but has a tendency to get over excited.

Our 6 year old Pug sleeps on his dog bed under the dinette (usually under my son) as this is his sleeping position. Our pointer/lab puppy is in her crate behind the passenger seat. Seems to work out fine for everyone. During the day they are either with us; hiking, walking, playing, whatever or they sleep under the MH.

Since I haven't told my pug she is a "dog" (I must whisper so she doesn't hear), of course, she sleeps in the bed with me.

Several years ago, some of my camping friends with small children bought a plastic play yard for their kids. It's kind of like a playpen on the ground that folds up for travel. When their kids learned to escape, I bought it from them for my Quibble. It can stay under the awning or in the sun right by the trailer so she feels included without getting tangled up in chiars and tables and awning tie downs, etc. with the leash. She too is crate trained at home, and the play pen gives her a "space" of her own outside when camping.

Think like a dog. Dogs can't think like people. A safe place may mean
a portable kennel tucked secured to the bed of your tow vehicle.
my one year old loves hers. pack life can get iffy if you not alpha.

especially when he is "dog" gone tired

When we used to tent camp, he stayed in the "doggy bag"

Only problem with the doggy bag, it would get twisted and contorted and often be in the shape of a "dog leg" but there was always a fair way to the hole (in the tent).

try to keep the noise down............
