Daisy Centerfold

Does Airstream need a model? I can perch on the back of any sofa and make it look even more cozy.

Hi, Lisa; Dusty will only be participating in the senior sleeping contest. recently he as been walking all the way around our little block; For a while, he would only go a house or two and turn back towards his home. Dusty can no longer hear and his eye sight isn't too good either. But his nose helps him get around. He is still perky, runs in the house, and he is a happy dog.

Hi, Ken; We decided to go for a Sunday drive, [our day off ] and just take highway 22 East. I was a beautiful country drive. It started snowing and I kept going until we found a pull-out with some snow on the ground. When we turned around, a sign said it was 85 miles to Salem. We were somewhere between Detroit and Sisters.

Hope Susan likes it too; The longer we are here the more we like it. Does your trailer fit and are you going to keep it? I remember this being a possible problem, getting up a steep driveway.

Last year while I was in Salem and my wife was in Lakewood, Southern California had a pretty big Earthquake. [Darn, I missed it] Then when I went to Lakewood, it snowed in Salem. [darn, I missed that too] We didn't get any snow this year, but my friend who has been here for over thirty years, says it snows in Salem about every other year. Last year they got eight inches here and it was only for a few days.

When I was younger, I loved snow and skiing. Then I moved to Colorado and got the rest of my lifetime's worth of snow in just a few years. Today, I like snow in postcards and way off in the distance on the mountains.

Susan is definitely coming around. We, by a stroke of lucky timing (definitely not a result of my virtuous life) managed to get a place well beyond what we ever expected to be able to afford. She loves gardening, and where we are now is a gardener's paradise. Being realistic, she seems to be happy with me, so she can't be too picky. Right now she is on the way back to Colorado to supervise some work on the other house to prepare it for sale. She called and said she missed being here, so I think she has unknowingly capitulated.

I do believe though that we will be down in your area from time to time, because the farm country north of Salem reminds her of the part of Iowa where she grew up.

We are probably going to keep the Airstream as we have found no good substitute. We won't be able to keep it here at the house due to the terrain, but I am sure we can park it here to load and unload, which is what we did in Colorado. Since the weather here is such that we don't need covered storage, we will pay less to store it here than we do now.

To keep this thread on track, it is obvious all 3 cats are starting to think they really like it here.

Ken

So impressive! I can't believe he can get around that whole block. We have never had a dog live beyond 15 years. It must be a testament to good living and Airstreaming. Thank you for sharing all your pictures of him.

What Dusty thinks.

Hi,

"This is my bed, in it's place under the table. Somehow, I feel safe under here. I don't think that I'm all the way in my bed yet."

My stuff.

Hi,

"This is all my stuff that my People bought for me. My food mat in case I make a mess while eating. My Welcome mat so my feet don't slip on the floor while I'm eating. My very own Corelle dinner dishes. My Water Hole water dish. [I own two of these, one for in the truck and one for in which ever house we live in at the time] And my Fantastic Breeze for hot days."

Dusty is one neat dog. I think you're doing a great job of knowing what he is thinking.

Hi, Dusty is jealous of Daisy; He doesn't have a pillow, yet alone an Airstream pillow.

Or perhaps he/she is thinking, "Thank goodness that screen is there. If it wasn't a cat could get me."

Hi,

"My Dad puts me in front of signs, lets go of me, has my Mom take my picture, and my Dad runs back real fast to make sure that I don't wander off and hurt myself. All this just to show Ken's cat where I've been."
