My dog, Zak, is a 30 pound Boston Terrier/Boxer mix and hates travelling. This picture was taken shortly after driving all day and Zak was happy we had finally stopped, so when we got into the Airstream, he drank some water and then hopped up on the sofa.

Let me back up a bit... Shortly after getting my 1990 Airstream Excella 25 last year, I took it cross-country with my dog, and my mother. I'm so glad my mother got a chance to come, and she loved it, we spent over two weeks travelling and living in the Airstream. A few weeks later, shortly after returning home, she had a severe stroke and is now living in a nursing home unable to walk, get dressed or go to the bathroom by herself. She often talks about our cross-country trip in the Airstream and tells others about it.

One of her fondest memories of the trip is when she wanted to lay down on the sofa, and Zak was sitting right in the middle of it. She asked him to get down and he wouldn't move, so she tried to put her hand on him and gently move him over, or off the couch. Normally he would move. I've never seen him growl or snap at anyone ever, but that's exactly what he did. It's like he was finally comfortable and able to relax after spending all day in the tow vehicle driving with us, and was really p!$$ed off when my mother wanted him to move. I think at the time, she was a bit shocked and taken aback by his unexpected reaction, but now, for some reason, this moment seems to be the highlight of the whole trip for her!

Dusty is one cute pup. Where did you find the snow? The realtors assured me that it never snowed anywhere near Salem. By the way, I and the cats love it here. We are still waiting on Susan's final opinion. Although, she did remark that the sun has shown for at least part of every day of the three weeks we've been here so far.
