You know, she just may be part terrier. That would explain a few things.

I have won this one, tho, as I haven't bought anythng else and she has resigned herself to the new and more durable ones. She has stopped asking for something else.

These are lasting at least 5-6 days each, tho. They seem to tire out her jaws before she can get thru them.

When she gets down to a few inches, and is trying to chew it to swallow...I take it away and pitch it, lest she choke.

If you have a chewer, these are grrrrreat!

good point! I bet dogs are always wondering why people throw away perfectly good firewood.

I didn't get any turkey yesterday, but I got presents. And, I'm pretty sure they're all for me. Here's my new, favorite one.

Where are you getting these sticks…China? A good two out of three never survive the trip.

I'll bet whoever came up with that unconditional love garbage never had to put up with this joker.

I had one rescue Lhasa Apso that took two years to trust me enough to touch her face. Sometimes it takes patience, but for the short time she lived, she loved unconditionally eventually. She has horrible abuse issues before we pulled her out of a certain death shelter situation.

It can be hard, but dogs do love their people, especially rescued doggies....sometimes it takes a while.

We sprung Jenni out of the big house in Leavenworth (aka city dog pound). She has no love issues with us, fact is she wants to be next to us all the time, problem is she seems to hate everyone else on the planet. She's just like our old dog Jimi though, as she hates the humiliation of having to wear the Santa hat.

All my rescues are very defensive toward people outside the pack. It took several visits to get all of them to accept my handyman as a friend.

You don't mind if I just hang out on your leg, right, Mr. Person?

(Daisy's a rescue too - though I think she might have rescued us :-) ).

I refer to Lily as a "foundling" rather than a "rescue", but their issues are much the same.

She is as loving and devoted as any dog could be, and just seems so grateful for the love, companionship and care she receives.

Every time I bring a new sack of dog food into the house, or fill her food bowl, her tail wags as if I have given her a new toy.

Hi, same here for Dusty too; Only his outside is inside of our attached garage. Dusty's sight and hearing is pretty bad and I don't want the coyotes to get him, so I made him a door and ramp leading into our garage.
