Wonderful! What is your dog's name? I have only dreamed of running Orie through agility training. Tell us more please. Great shots of your wonder dog and great thread.

Wow! Those are great shots of what must be a great dog. So tell us more, normally we have to beg for photos now we want the details. In what feels like a past life I field trained hunting dogs.

Such intensity in his expression! It takes a special owner to keep up with a high energy dog...looks like you two are a match. Are these photos from a competition? I'll bet he's a champion! ~G

What Logan and Blaze do for me.

They remind me

To live in the present.
To greet everyone in my path.
To always be on the lookout for the next treat.
To enjoy each run as though it was our last run together.

Great pictures.

the cats are gone now but i remember them:

...getting me up, sometimes to feed them, sometimes because they knew better than i did, like when my sugar was low.

...keeping me warmer on those cold nights.

...teaching sincerity.

...showing me where the spiders were.

...finding the note i left on the bed and sitting on it.

...making me laugh.

the thing our pet do's best is keeping the couch warm when I'm out.

What hasn't my pet done for me?

When Bandit was a pup, she was a great "chick magnet"....

But now as both of our "girls" have gotten older, and as the rat race of the corporate world spins around Prim and I, we have been taught acceptance by our 4 legged kids...

They've taught me that they don't care where we live, as long as we are together.

They've taught me that they don't care what car I drive, it can be a old piece of junk and as long as it gets them to the park they are fine with it.

They've never complained about the size of the Airstream, too big or too small.

They don't always get ground meat with their meals, but will eat what's given to them anyways (but maybe in a few days)

They've seen me at my worst, and reminded me that accepting what is around us is part of living each day. If we can't accept what we have or don't have, we cannot live life.

Bark less, wag more.

Yes, his name is Luke and we compete in agility. He's pretty good at it and we do make a good team and it is definitley a team sport.

Here's my primer on agility:
No two courses are the same an we've never seen the course we are about to run. The handlers get about eight minitues to walk the course (without our dogs) and figure out how we'll cue our dogs through it. The course is in a 100' x 100' area and with all the twist and turns, Luke will run about 170 yards, over twenty obstacles. He'll do that in less than 40 seconds. We are not allowed any mistakes and when we make one, it's usually my fault in that I didn't give a clear enough cue or I was out of position when I gave the cue.

Yes has has a bunch of titles, but the important thing is that he loves doing it and we have a good time.

But he really loves to her his sheep!

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Luke looks like a brilliant boy! Of course we all know that you make him look good, but then you have the decency to stand back and let him take the credit Agility sounds tricky!

Now then...if all of you dog lovers (of which my wife & I are two) can just manage to convince the people in Melborne to allow dogs !!

It's such a shame they hate our furkids.
