What is Your Dogs Favourite Human Food?

The beagle goes ga-ga for salmon and ice-cream. She gets both once a year, on her birthday.

Put some ketsup on it and it might be a healthy meal. Sal

Lily's favorite food is anything that we are eating.

I have typical Labradors who will eat anything given them with equal enthusiasm. I don't give them people food, except for the occasional piece of cheese or banana (Samm can hear a banana being opened from a dead sleep while at the opposite end of the house).

We don't give Ali people food either, but we once tricked her into taking a pill by giving her some peanut butter....boy was that a mistake. Cannot open a peanut butter jar without giving her a dab.

We too...

If you eat healthy so will your dog, not to many things Fado won't try....
Love's those Kosher Dill's.

Everything in moderation according to our Vet, twice a day kibble and don't over feed.

A few no no's... bird bones, chocolate, raw pork/ham.

Cheese... Gotta be cheese. Ollie does not get people food, and I could not figure out why he would come running every time he heard me open a package of string cheese. Turns out one of my co-workers was giving him a "sample" from her lunch each day. That was 3 years ago! He still thinks he should get a sample.

Stan (and yes... Ollie)

Add grapes, raisins, and peach seeds to the no no list, Bob. Supposed to be toxic to a dog.

I'll second the vote for peanut butter for Trudy ("my" dog, the beastie depicted in my avatar.) It's the most reliable way to get her to take pills, and with a mouth like that it's better if she WANTS the pill.

Shortly after he got "his" dog Chloe, my partner lived with a couple of human chow-hounds with a fat chihuahua and didn't realize how often the girls were tossing tater tots, chicken nuggets, etc. to the dogs until Chloe started to resemble a sausage with legs. She's a healthy weight now (and thankfully healthy overall at 14+) but still wants ANY human food she can get her teeth on, even though we don't indulge that.
