I have a very sick pit bull who ingested plastic and string from a rope toy ...I took him to my local vet and he was given laxatone but it doesn't seem to be working he hasn't passed anything yet ...he has stopped throwing up profusely... And is taking water every hour a cup at a time anymore than that comes back up he has had no food in five days ...not sure when plastic and rope was ingested, I do know the toy was small and he threw most of that up and has passed a small ball of string , I took that with me to the vet ... But he passed anything and he is still very sick

Lois, Time to return him to the vet for a follow up.

Do you know what a learning experience is? A learning experience is one of those things that says "You know that thing that you just did? Don't do that."

You need to get to a veterinary emergency service right now. He may need surgery if he has a gastrointestinal obstruction. Do not wait until tomorrow.

Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse... but you take a boat in the air that you don't love... she'll shake you off just as sure as the turn of the worlds.

Sounds like the above poster is yielding advice from much wisdom!
