see our new pet!

hi!
we haven't been on in a month or two (?) got too hot to work on our AS

since we won't be able to tow our AS anywhere anymore and have to leave it at our camping resort, we finally had to do something about it, to be able to GO SOMEWHERE!

now, our AS is a 31' sov. 1978.. it looks so big to me i call it the whale. so we broke down and got a teardrop trailer, which we wanted to build before getting the AS.

since i call the AS whale, our tiny teardrop is named Guppy. so, being my new little "pet", thot i would show him off here.

so meet guppy.. .and we are taking off on the 20th to go to WV and maybe other parts unknown.

YAY!!!!

elizabeth ( my photo isn't showing up after following directions so maybe am just making a fool of myself !

it wouldn't surprise me to find another teardropper around here, the communties on both forums are extremely similar! guess they are SOBs but you know.. they are different. little puppy trailers. and they have an honorable history

Missouri is a long way from Tri-Cities! You will have to head back out this way sometime. Maybe bring the big trailer for that trip

I actually bought plans for a teardrop before we bought our AS, but my husband convinced me we needed something bigger. He was right, I couldn't live without 'facilities'!

We have a teardrop too...

Hi!

Well, we have a 1946 Kit teardrop ~ had it since 1980! We really enjoy using it as well as our Bambi! A couple of years ago we went to the first International Teardrop Rally in Minden, Nebraska. 6 weeks on the road. Did great! But, when we take our Bambi we feel like we have supersized!

Took our teardrop to our first Airstream rally as our Airstream was disassembled... everyone was great and didn't make us hide in the shadows or anything! But, it is aluminum...

Congrats on your "guppy" ~ go camping and have fun!

Here is a photo of our teardrop:

wow! 1980! true teardroppers! beautiful trailer and setup. love the awning. we just got a screen pentagon Coleman tent. at least for stays over 2 days. help keep our little sami in without putting him on a leash.

here is the study in contrasts!
