One of the big reasons we got into Airstreams was so we could take our four-legged children (dogs) with us.

I just spent two days with Fred Hinds' family this week. I fell in love with their two dogs, too.

Here is one of my favorite AS/dog photos, even though Titus has passed on. He loved hanging his head out the door. This was taken on our way to the 1996 WBCCI International Rally in Rapid City, SD.

Titus

This other photo was taken as we were leaving last April's Mystic Springs rally that was organized here on this website. That's me with Windsor, our current canine dependent.

Thumbs up

Great photo, Edie. Thanks for sharing it with us!
One of these days, I'll get to visit Mystic Springs with my two dogs.

Thanks...I was editing my post when you replied. There are now links to two different photos.

It looks like we'll have another AirstreamForums.com rally at Mystic Springs next April. Here's a link to the thread that was started regarding that rally.

Mystic Springs - April 2003

You may have seen references on the forum to the "Mystic Seven". We had seven motorhomes at the first rally. It was started because the MHs are relatively rare, and we wanted to check out what each looked like. We actually sped up our MH hunt so that we could attend the rally with our new (to us) MH.

The rally was originally organized with MHs in mind, but is certainly open to EVERYONE. I hope you can join us.

I have never seen so many dogs at a rally. Four of the seven coaches had dogs. Two of the seven had kids. It was loads of fun.

Although, you should be ready for razzing when you tell your friends that you are traveling to meet someone in person that you met on the internet.

Zeke's beautiful!

How will you convince him he's not sleeping with you? Truth be told, I want my dogs to sleep with me whether they want to or not.

My mom is not a dog person. She was staying with us in Indiana for the Covered Bridge Festival about 6 or 7 years ago. Caesar jumped on the front bed in the middle of the night. As far as he was concerned, she was in his bed since he normally slept there.

Not remembering dog commands clearly in her sleepy condition, she told him "down" instead of "off". He was more than willing to oblige. I took this photo the next morning. Nobody in the family would have believed Mom slept with a dog otherwise!

Joey Vegas and Molly

Joey is a purebread Providence Poodle so that means he's part pit/AmStaf/EngStaf/who-the-hell-knows. both he and molly came full grown from the East Providence Pound. Pretty sure molly is a pit beagle mix (i know, i know, but i'm pretty sure.) a dream-boat with little kids, but a little agressive with other female dogs. Vegas is just a mush all the way around.

johnhd,
I'm a dog lover, particularly labs and golden retrievers, and your pictures hit a soft spot in my heart.
