Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Here is a picture of Buckeye (soon to be five year old Chessapeake Bay Retriever) airborn off the end of the dock into the water to retreive his dummy duck. Three weeks earlier he would only jump into the shallow water where he could touch bottom.
It was fun to see him progress.
I'm wondering if this would work with my older brother. He doesn't swim the best so hangs out in the shallow area. Maybe if I get a rubber beer bottle I can teach him to swim in deeper water?
Great photo of your pup in action. Life is sure good for our pets. We treat them better than royalty.

Barry,
(Thats funny!) Great idea, he has to want it bad enough to be willing to be helped (pushed in) and come back for more. A beer bottle with a PFD personal floatation device) might work wonders.

Here is a picture from the recent 4CU rally at Meteor Crater. You can tell that the 4CU is a very dog friendly unit. All of the dogs are in this photo. Can you find them all?
