Here are a few pics of our son, Kenzie. First is him retrieving in the field, the other is just him posing, the third is having fun with mommy, and the last one is morning cuddles with mommy (in the A/S), his favorite thing.
He is a 2 year old Golden Retriever, almost finished with field training, and it seems that everything we do revolves around his happiness! (and yes, as you can see, he is a very big dog for a Golden - he is 95 lbs. of fitness and stands at 28" tall - that is also a picture of Kenzie - at Molas Lake in Colorado - in our Avatar).

Took our two Poms camping on our first ever trip with the new 78 Argosy. This is Imma on the boat in her water dish. They both got too hot. The male is her brother, Paden. They loved the trailer and the A/C
Driftwood, love your Weimaraner! Ours, Wally, is nine and hasn't a clue that he might have been a hunter or water dog or anything useful. But he points any food dish, he is a love, and that's all that really matters. Beautiful photo!

Driftwood, the yellow flowers setting above is gorgeous with your girl! In reference above to our Wally, since we bought our little pond place, Wally has discovered the joy of water. Remember, this is the dog who melted at the first rain drop, couldn't stand his feet wet~you get the picture. The first day we brought him out to the pond, he sniffed the mucky bank, spooked a frog, jumped in, and has loved his swimming hole since then. His overweight status has shifted from 120 pounds to 96 and our vet is VERY happy with him. His favorite task is trying to catch the catfish and bluegill. He spots them from the dock, runs to the bank (doesn't have the idea of diving yet!), and off he swims, snapping and dreaming of the BIG ONE. Maybe one of these days I'll take the time to attempt a photo post so he can join the gallery.

One of the primary purposes I use the '85 for is to take my Weim to the shows (conformation - finished champion 1-2003) and to hunt tests (working on Master Hunter title). It allows me to be on-site over the weekends during the events and mingle with the 'dog-people', swap lies & exchange tips.
I base out of Florida, and last July qualified the Weim in the Hunting/Shooting Dog tests in Washington State - A long drive and loved every mile. I didn't drive there just for this, although when I find myself in a different part of the Country while putting miles on the Airstream (what they were built to do!) I search the internet for judged events and enter them.
I've placed the Weim in 7 different states & I am just a hobbyist not a pro; although I am adamant about handeling the dog myself. This animal has been by my side 24/7 for 4.5 years less 10 days. So I totally understand the 'child' reference.
Happy trails in your current adventure! Do it for the Dog!

He and his sis, Zoe, love to hide and play in the perforated paper we get in boxes from Crate and Barrel. Here he is peeking out from his paper fort...
Mel
(the bonus is, they eventually shred/destroy the paper, so I have to place another order so they can have more paper!)
This is Jet. He is just 4 months old and he already loves our Airstream. Jet is going with Elizabeth and me to the Mariposa Fairgrounds rally next weekend.
Thought I'd add a picture of my main navigator, Tony the Fox Terrier. He get's very excited, as terriers do, whenever I even mention the words "go camping?" And now when I say "go in the house" he heads for the trailer!
