I think you'd better keep the shitzu away from that 'little lizard'!
Yes, I relocated the little lizard in a different pond with lots of ducks. He gave me the best fight on my zebco bass rod. I had to throw the snake in my hand down that I had just caught so I could fight him for my lure. The shitzu is a happy puppy now. Poor thing was all cut up and starving and scared to death when we found him. He's a mamma's boy now with chip and all so he will never be lost again...unless he get's to close to a lizard like this I would hate to have to get violent with a lizard like this but would reach down it's throat if I had to save our shitzu. The things we do for love...

My new room mates... for the next 6 months before they return to England. When I call them, I sound a bit like John Cleese. They don't understand American accents... kidding of course.

Today was a sad day. We had Lucy (Champion Mardi Gra Lucy in Disguise) put to sleep. It was a very bad day. Her liver crashed and there was no room to negotiate with fate. Lucy was in photo #129. She was a true steal magnolia. Having beaten back ITP for 7 years, an autoimmune disorder since we adopted her, it went after her liver a few weeks ago. I came home at lunchtime and found she was not doing well. I took her to the vet and things fell apart pretty fast. We are heart broken. Give your pet an extra hug tonight, from Lucy.
I had to put down our 14 year old cowdog two years ago. I miss her every single day, but I also know that I HAD to do what I did for her.. she took care of me, mine, the house and kids for 14 years!
It was our turn to take care of her. They trust us, implicitly, and you did the right thing. I am sure you know that, but knowing that does not make the loss any easier.
I WILL give my doggie an extra hug today.. thank you for reminding me to do so.

What bee-yoo-ti-ful cats.. is the lighter one a blue point or a lynx point?
And why do they have to go back to England?
If you're not used to Siamese, you're in for an experience. They're positively addictive, after you figure out and accept the fact that they are aliens from the planet of Siam and they own the earth.. they just LET you be on it.

I'm not really sure what he is. I have known these two for about a year, and they are a lot of fun. They never stop talking... even in the middle of the night.
I had a cat once that was part Siamese, and she talked all the time too. So I know what I am in for!
They belong to a friend of mine from England. If she brought them directly back with her, they would have to go in to a kitty prison for 6 months of quarantine. I couldn't let them do that, they are too special to her. With their shots here, they must remain in the US for 6 months before they can return to England. I'm enjoying them... probably more than they are enjoying me.

I attended the SC State Rally last week and it was fantastic! Of course no Halloween rally would be complete without a pet costume contest, and I was very proud to have my little Pug, Quibble, win 1st place. She had to try really hard and show off, but somehow her charm, good looks, and personality swayed the judges her way. (We aren't telling her the costume did it all) I just wanted to show her off, so here she is.....

One of my friends sent the photo so I will have to ask him where it came from. It is the largest cat I have ever seen also.

The modern Flamingo Herding Hound is quite different from his early pre-Byam ancestors. This tiny, yet very rare, Chihuahua-like breed is a member of the Toy Group, and is hailed as being a graceful, alert, swift-moving little dog with saucy expression, compact, and with terrier-like qualities of temperament. Although it may tend to shy away from large, moving, Aluminum clad objects, it's unchallenged ability to herd innumerable varieties of the Airstream Flamingo is unmatched by any other breed.
Legend and history are rich in tales of the ancestors of the present day Flamingo Herding Hound. They are described as a popular pet, as well as a religious necessity, among the early Airstream trailer owners and later among the Motorhome owners. Surprisingly, archaeologists have discovered this tiny, yet tenacious, breed was once used to choke even some of the largest varieties of Great Danes and St. Bernards--once swallowed, of course.
The side view below shows good, strong drive in the rear and plenty of reach in the front, with head carried high. Nonetheless, this is one of the most intelligent, obediant, devoted, loving, and protective canines of it's kind. This is our little "Chi-Chi".

I have a whole flock of flamingos (wire, planters, plastic, bobbing, lighted, stuffed, etched, etc., etc.) that camp with me from time to time and sometimes they get out of hand. Maybe Chi-Chi could give my pug "Quibble" some pointers!
