I ended up buying a new collar tag from Boomerang Tags once I went to their site. Just the thing for a strong clumsy beastie like my Trudy. The thing just behind her ear that looks like it could be a buckle is actually the tag, the collar slips through it and it doesn't dangle where it could catch on things and disappear (like her last vaccination tag has done...)
They also have daintier sizes for smaller dogs.

Nice, you have llama's? How cool us that. Can you ride them like a camel?

Ha ha, no too small to be ridden, they are good for carrying packs though. I don't have any anymore, I was a 4H leader and ended up giving mine away to kids in our 4H club. The kids enjoyed working the llama more than I did anyway. If anyone tells you llama don't spit on people on purpose, they're lying!

I was told once the reason camels and llamas spit on you is, it's their way of showing how they like you. What a funny way to show it. Lol If I were to try that with my better half, I would probably get the same look that you probably gave the llama. Lol

Our 3 are chipped and wear a collar w/o tags. ANYTIME they are riding in a vehicle, they get an additional collar w/a metal tag that reads: LUELLA IS TRAVELING, LOST, CALL (2 cell #'s).
Poodles are Velcro, most of the time.

All of our cats are chipped, even the ones that would deny that they even know us, if asked.

My cat and dog are both chipped. Funny how cats only pay attention to you is when they want to.

Trailer tags
Okay, the trailer isn't silver, but it's all we could find! The back reads "ARZU - The Airstream Kitty" with our cell phone numbers. At least if he gets lost in a campground they'll know which trailer he probably came from, even if there's no cell service. He has opened the sliding cover on the Airstream screen door and jumped out, so now there's a Velcro strip holding it closed. We often walk together unleashed when camping - if anything scares him, he runs back to the trailer and scrapes on the door - "let me in, let me in!"

Robert, I hope you don't mind that I'm going to use your idea of having a pic of my trailer incorporated into another tag that I'm going to order today from www.petidforme.com/105. This way if my dog every leaves my site, which is highly unlikely, being he's 13 and very loyal and as you stated no cell signal people can find my trailer.
Thanks for the idea.

Very cute. Can you put information on the backside, like a phone number?

I have only seen them on line. However I think they are Sterling Silver and can be inscribed on the back side.

I decided I would have two tags for the pooch. One for home and the other for when we go camping. This took a little work to make fit as the information lines wouldn't let me fill it out all the way.

We have a new to us hound...already spoiled rotten.
I like the Boomerang Tag that sits flats on the collar. I have had a couple of dogs in the past loose the tags or get them hung on stuff.
