kidjedi, am sitting here sobbing (again) because my beagle was like a young, healthy dog that last time in the creek.

I can see Coupland in the lake too.

Thank-you for sharing....and giving your beloved Coupland that final joy.

Hang in there. I still get all teary-eyed over Quinn. He left us almost 10 years ago now. Try to think about the good times....

I miss my dear Oliver every single day. He was only 7 years old when the evil disease, IMHA, took him from me in July. He was the sweetest, kindest most loving dog ever. I have since adopted a little springer spaniel puppy, Hector, and he has moved into my heart...sweet little guy. To me, there is nothing better than the love and devotion of a dog.

Pet Grief

Quinn was only 7. Lost him to cancer. Smartest dog I ever had. Daughter could teach him a new trick in about ten minutes.

Dogs are 'wired' to live humans, it seems. All they need is the chance.
