I am looking at purchasing a pickup for pulling a 28FC. My question is has anyone placed a cap on th truck to house their dogs while traveling? My concern is temperature inside when on the road.

Hey neighbor. I have a Leer cap on my Chevy, and it has the removable front window. great to be able to clean the windows of both the truck & top, but even better for the dogs. On hot days, I simply open my rear side vents, and then pull the forward window out. I've never ridden back there, but I can see the dawgs ears a flappin' when they are looking forward. There is definitely a good breeze blowing thru there. If it's above 80 degrees tho, we bring them into the cab w us.
They will get plenty of "snout time" with that window removed.

We used to travel with dogs in back. Our cap had sliding side windows that had screens. They always were OK.

How do you like your FC? We just got a '28 FC. Still trying to find a place for everything.
