Our Newest Baby!
I wanted to introduce our newest baby. He is an 8 week old full blooded Cihiaua ( not sure how to spell it,lol). My daughter-in-law actually got 2 for christmas and learned quickly how much attention they need, so we took this one. His name is Mojo ( from the transformer movie). He is a bundle of energy! Our oldest dog, Tilly, doesnt seem to mind that he bugs her to death. She just has that look on her face like " would you just settle down' ! . Also included a picture of Tilly and Kitty! As you can tell, they are old friends.

Great photos. Your new Chihuahua, if my spell checker is right, looks like it thinks it will rule the roost very quickly. For little dogs they have big hearts and are fierce defenders of their adopted family.
I guess pictures of the lil pup growing up won't show much change in size.
Congratulations on the new family member.

Your Tilly looks so accepting of the new little one. When our old Weimaraner is faced with a baby or pup, he gets so nervous, ducks his head, shivers, tries in all non-agressive ways to avoid the encounter. You seem to have a happy family ~G

Oh Wow - look at all the new family members everyone is getting from real babies, to new grand babies on their way, puppies and rescues - 2008 is a buzzing with happiness and love all round.....
Makes me want to take a trip to the local rescue....if only I could. Perhaps once the new house is built and parents settled in we will surprise them with a rescue of their own and bring the furry babies back into their lives again. Since we will be so close we can be their back up if they need help dog sitting and dog walking.
Great Pics - enjoy your little - emphasis on little - puppy...

Really cute. Our daughter thinks I (we) should get a dog. I almost thought she was going to surprise us with one from a rescue and I was preparing for all the amenities to make a dog feel at home. But I guess with the Christmas rush with her family it didn't happen. So I have been trying to decide on a size we would be comfortable with especially for traveling with the Airstream.

Well for what it is worth - any size of pet is the perfect size. If you love pets - we have an uncanny way of adapting quickly - as do they.
I have had a maltese to our big labs and goldens - from a tent to a boat to a 21' trailer and even spent some time in the 26'. They really don't care as long as they are with you.
Some issues are - where they sleep - on the floor or on the bed - with you...personally I don't care - as long as I am not sleeping with them IN my bed or sharing MY pillow!! but bed covers are a must - that can easily be removed.
We have one that likes the bed and one that likes the floor.
When I get older and a larger dog gets to big for me to help up into the vehicle -then it might be time to look at the medium size breeds...I am too clumbsy for the small breeds and would certianly step on them
Good luck in your choices.
The little chi chi's are really cool though...they can fit in a pocket or the hood of your winter coat or have a little minature dog bed on the front shelf of the trailer....

Tammy, what a precious new family member. Everyone seems to be getting along so well there. Tilly looks so motherly with Mojo.

Lynn, my wife fell in love with the 'chi chi' that accompanied. Jeff, (Coastalview), during the NorCal Rally last Oct. Jeff is a tall muscular gentleman...quite the contrast to the 'chi chi' cradled in the crook of his arm. I thought all the tiny dogs were high strung and always 'shaking'. However, Jeff's companion had the temperment of a St. Bernard.

Mojo is a little over three months old now, I don't think he is going to be very big as you can see from the pics!

Very cute! I can't imagine having a dog that small - try not to step on him or lose him in the couch cushions!

Yes he weighs in at a little over a pound right now, very small next to Tillie(about 75lbs) He is leaning to get out of the way when he needs to!
