Nothing but Tears

Last year about this time....we discovered a growing mass on the rear hindquarter of our beloved traveling companion..Peabody..It was a nerve sheath tumor....

we had it surgically removed near the end of March....

then it began to grow again....and we had it removed again in June, along with radiation and chemo......and it grew more slowly and then more rapidly and all the while he was just his old regular self...my best friend and the best buddy i ever had...we hiked, played and then in the last few weeks it became super aggressive....to the point he was loosing mobility and his quality of life was going fast....and today

today, Peabody left us....and if dogs don't go to heaven then i want to go where they are....

then on top of being without aluminum is almost unbearable

Peabody...with us for almost ten years....rest in peace

My heart goes out to you - we had to put our old black lab down last year and it was one of the worst moments of my life.

Ohhhh, so sorry to hear about Peabody!

We lost a brittney spaniel in 2004 that we'd had almost 13 years, also to cancer. We cried for days.

May your memories bring you peace.

We send you all the prayers we can. Having been there before I know what my pain was so am hoping swift healing for you all. BTW we are on that edge again with our 13 year old Wire-haired Griffin. He's deaf, and has urinary bleeding which has not rsponded to anything given. He's only joy is when he's 'camping' in the Airsteam

Oh, Carroll & Paula...

We are so sorry to hear this ... we know how much Peabody meant to your little pack, including Phoenix. We share your loss and understand your pain. We have been there so often over the years. Our little furry friends give us so much ... and then it's time for them to leave too soon. Our hearts go out to you all.

We are sorry to hear about your loss. We have been there with my first lab of 15 years and now we have a 12 year old lab getting closer to his time to go. It's sad but we always have to remember how much joy they brought us and how much love we gave them! It's very hard but I'm glad we gave our babies a good safe home with lots of love. Our hearts go out to you.

Nothing but tears

Most of us have been there, done that--4 times. The best way I can keep going when it happens, is to think of "Rainbow Bridge" and remember all the joy and happiness brought to us by our family members." I'll never forget any of them. I realize our dogs cannot be replaced, however, I have a different special spot in my heart for each one.....Tom

So sorry to hear this. Peabody looks so sweet! It sucks that it hurts this much when they die ...I hope wonderful memories of your buddy are always a comfort.

Our Thoughts Are With You

Peabody looks like such a sweet dog. We lost our beloved chocolate lab, Gabe in September of 2009. We still miss him very much but are finding that we think more of the good times with him now than how he slipped from us battling cancer.
Our sympathy to you in your loss.

Only those that know the love and devotion we have for our pets and they for us, really feel the pain of their loss. If you know the soul of an animal, you understand your own.
