...in my opinion

When a pet leaves us from old age, or illness, it pays to think about the fact that it's only us who are sad, and that's because we will miss their companionship.

The pet, on the other hand, is finally relieved of their pain and suffering, and has been released to a better place for them. For that reason we just need to remember them when they were younger and healthier, the good times, in other words.

Guaranteed it will bring a smile to your face, then YOU will feel a little better.

Hi from AZ. . . so sorry for your loss. We lost our Shelby on October 3rd after a 16 week fight with lymphoma. She was only 9, & we inherited her 5 years ago, but she was so part of us. I miss her every day, as I'm sure you miss Baity. . . regards, Craig

So sorry for your loss. The life of a good dog is like that of a good person, only shorter and more compressed. My sweet chocolate 18 yr. old Poodle is right now sound asleep cuddled in the crook of my arm snoring so loudly she makes me smile. We never get all the days we hope for with them. Please find solace in your happy memories. Dogs, like people die eventually but the love never dies. Keep the best time running like a slide show in you mind remembering the good times.
Kind regards,
FCloud9

I am so very sorry! It is always so difficult to lose a beloved pet. It has been two years since my big Charlie died and I still feel him with me een though I have another Charlie and two other dogs. They steal your heart and are gone too soon.

Never met you nor your partner. My condolences on your loss. God has blessed us with dogs as companions, they are here for only a short time, but add so much. Slowly, for me very slowly, it does get better and the sadness gives way to great memories that can never be taken from you.

Be Well

Bud

I never understood how much people loved their dogs until I had to say good bye to one of ours. It's never easy. I'm sorry for your loss

My thoughts are with you. It is hard to lose a family member. I lost one in September to cancer.

Oh Kevin the hardest part about life is death, and you are both so lucky his passing was as such! My jack Russell terrorist under the covers in her 1966 Overlander is 13 now and still dragging me around the neighborhood , but is getting near the end and I feel ya! I can't imagine life without her but someday soon must!
Good luck! I'm new to the forum and you are my first post!
Cheers! Surlyhobohemian Shelly

No words but understanding.....
Our old friend is lingering on and on.
We can only hope he goes while napping in the sun, he gave you a gift!

It's a sad week, but you'll always remember the great times!

So sorry for you. The pain and sadness are real and will remain with you for a long time. The only consolation is the knowledge that he was not stolen or lost but was with you. Take care of yourself.

On a happier note, I was getting out Christmas decorations last night, and came across a picture frame ornament from Hallmark. In the frame was a picture of Baity at about 18 months. It was Baity's first Christmas with me. It was a sad and special moment.
