Dear Dave and Ann,
I am truly writing this with tears streaming down my face. I know the pain only to wheel that you are feeling. It is a bad time of year to suffer a loss like that.
I do hope you will be able to heal and a new fur baby can help that happen. We rescued a golden doodle after saying never much pain to loose another one, and she has brought great joy to us. She is a gentle sole, (the golden). Trying to get the nerve to take her along on our next trip.
Hope to see you some day on our travels.

Why a "LAST POST and rename"?? What an honor to maintain the same name and when you get a new companion, officially name it KOTA II. Sorry for your loss, especially around the holidays. AEW

^. I was thinking the same thing Dave, that handle will be an enduring momento.
Try wait a little before making the change.

Just lost my traveling beagle 2 months ago....had seen more of the country than most people. Finally went to the Twin Falls animal shelter and found a new 7mth old travelling companion. So when you're ready...which will take quite a while the way you loved Kota, maybe consider a shelter animal. Safe travels. jon

I'm also sorry to hear of your loss. I too would ask why change your username. We lost our two cats 20 years ago, I still have usernames for both of them in many places. Each time I type them, I remember how we loved them.

when our beloved furbabies die they take a piece of our hearts with them but they leave behind a piece of theirs in the hole.
You have our deepest sympathy
