Kennel-Port Angeles

Does anyone know of a GOOD kennel at Port Angeles, WA? I'm thinking of parking my MH there and taking the ferry to Victoria for the day. Thanks for any suggestions.

I lived in Port Angeles for years and sorry to say there isn't much in the way of kennels there. Maybe a local vet?

If I remember correctly my kids stayed here. Not fancy, in a ladies house. There was a really nice place but its not coming up on any searches. PA went threw tough times, many business closed. I can call my friend Angie who knows pretty much everyone in town and all the happenings, if you'd like.

I live in Port Angeles. I don't remember the name of the kennel, but a few years ago, we used one that we were very pleased with.

My wife is out of town on business and unavailable at the moment. When she gets home, I'll see if I can get the contact info for you. We had two Doberman's at the time and she spoiled them rotten over their 2 weeks of vacation. We now have a high-end German Shepherd dog and I wouldn't hesitate having this lady and her family caring for my boy.

If you don't hear from me within the next day or so, feel free to send me a PM to remind me.

Cheers,

Dan

As it turns out, the Kennel I was going to recommend is no longer doing business.

However, I called around to at least get you a starting point for your search.

I suggest that you call Cozy Care at 360-681-0113 and speak to the owner, "Jane". Her facility is near Sequim, that is about 18 minutes to the East of Port Angeles.

I have not been to her place, but she sounds very nice, professional and responsible on the phone. She would be able to give you recommendations if you decide not you use her services. I suggest that you call her soon, so that you can be brought up to date on her requirements. She says that she only keeps 3 dogs at a time and she sounds picky... that is a good thing.

Her rates are $25 per day and that price is normal for around here. If you bargain shop, you will find one for less, but you WILL be putting your dog at risk.

Good luck and please enjoy your trip.

Dan
