Any dog that you love! We gravitate towards hounds. Gunnar-the basset hound, Daisy-the blue tick coon hound, Rowdy-the dachshund mix and Rufus-origins unknown have all been excellent travel companions over the years.

Milly the Bernedoodle. Beautiful. Not too big and not too small. Zero shedding.

German Shepard, no one will ever enter your rig with out your approval. Great guard dog, great companion , very smart, clean, will bond with your clan. The right training when young, great for life.

Is there a breed of dog suited to an Airstream?

Teddy, hunter of lizards, loud barker, and total cuddlebug. Tibetan Terrier we think...Click image for larger version

From left to right, Kary, Cash, and Teddy. The white ones are probably Malti-poos. All are rescues.

I second German Shepherd's. Ours has traveled with us since she was a pup. "Sochi" starts getting excited when she sees us loading the trailer. She has outstanding trailer manners other than refusing to sleep in her bed, of course our bed does have the view so we can't really blame her.Click image for larger version
