FYI if you are in a rattlesnake area, as I am, there is a canine vaccine available. Won't stop all the symptoms but may save your dogs life.

That is the most depressing 'dog area' I've ever seen - even without the scorpions and rattlesnakes!

We've had our dogs snake trained, it works. A lot cheaper than anti-venom.
