I thought I would mention that I lost Tweets last evening. He hadn't been himself for the past three weeks. I tried numerous antibiotics and treatments but was assured that his long "good" life was about over. He had been a member of our little family for nine years. The only free flying canary I've ever known. He preferred my company to Cheryl's but after we lost her he seemed to always sit on her side of the dinette. I know he missed her lovely smile and tender heart. My sympathy to all of you who have lost a pet and a spouse. I think I need a warm puppy now that I'm alone. Wish me luck!

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about your bird. I think 9 years is a pretty long life for a canary. I have also never heard of a free flying canary I had a cockatiel for 13 years, one of my favorite pets. I think they all have a special place in our heart.

Condolences on the loss of Tweets. Yes, a puppy might be a good companion now. Dogs are so wonderful - they ask so little and give so much always glad to see you, they make no judgements and think you are wonderful - which everbody needs. Losses leave such huge holes which are hard to adjust to.
Best wishes,

Shiny, I'm sure Tweets' loss amplifies your feelings about Cheryl. It's so hard to come up with anything useful. Our sense of sorrow can only be a fraction of what you have been through. Peace...

We lost Molly today- she fought off bladder cancer for a year and eight months. She went for walks in the woods every day until yesterday, so we knew it was time. She was Sam's best fishing buddy:

I'm sorry about Molly - what a cute pup she was (and attentive fishing buddy). We never seem to have enough time to share with our sweet pets.

So sorry to hear that another companion has passed on. Molly looks like she remained a 'puppy' throughout her life. Your grief will last, but fortunately the memories of Molly will last longer.

So sorry to hear about Molly. They are all such special individuals! Molly was lucky to be able to enjoy her self right up to the end. We can all hope for that much!

Stephanie, Wayne and Sam, we're so sorry to had to undergo the loss of loved dogs, such a hard, heartbreaking time for you. We understand, having our Wally, fourteen year old Weimaraner, put to sleep a year ago Christmas. Now we laugh and remember the fun and funny times we spent with him. Time does ease the hurt. ~G

We also are sorry for your lose. It seem's to leave a very large void for such a small animal. We lost our Lucy last fall also,10yr old Miniture Schnauzer, who was blind and diabetic. We also knew when it was time. She lost her liver function which often happens with diabetic's.We only had her 2 yrs from the time we rescued her from the pound in Columbus,Ohio. At least we know that she had a good life her last two yrs.
Again we have been where you are,its tough to move on.Maybe you can rescue one like Molly, but we know she cannot be replaced, they only come along once in a while.
GOOD LUCK
Roger

So sorry to hear of the loss of your Molly. Such a sweet face.
Remember that her spirit will be with you as you travel and in your hearts.
