On the subject of Chocolate

Our first wolfhound lived til 9 1/2 which is pretty good for a big dog and he had a hersheys kiss every night before he went to bed. Our last basset hound lived to 15+ and ate all the grapes on our arbor she could reach. I am not saying the warnings are bad but our dogs did great on foods we now know are "verbotten".

I am sure that GSP's are wonderful dogs, but Schnauzers rock!

I already posted my pet picture but here it is again:

Sugarfoot, I tried Karma for you, but "they" won't let me do it, so I'll post here to tell you how funny I thought your ditty was! I couldn't sing it for laughing so hard. It's so true. Just today, our GSP Moose (yes, the same one discussed above) lifted his leg with an aim for presents under the tree. I yelled so loud, I think I scared his "incense" right back in! Anyway, a funny post. Thanks ~G

That's OK, but Karma is coming your way for making me laugh at the mental picture of Moose getting scared midstream. Poor dog, do we get to meet Moose at the Can Opener?

Moose and Wally at the Can Opener? No way! Max and I would be seasick from the rocking in Gypsy while Moose gallops, skids, and twirls up and down her hallway--and as for Wally, he's so big, there's just no room for him and us too once he establishes his territory for sprawling out! No, they'll stay in their familiar surroundings while our son Steve keeps our home intact-hopefully!

I understand, Ms. Lulu and Maggie will have their own private pet sitter as well. I would be kicked out of Topsail if Lulu was on the loose.

Ooops, sorry Richard for hijacking your thread. We will now go back to the business of Christmas and Pets. It is a much needed reminder. No chocolate, candy, or sugarless sweets for my girls!

It's all good! I love to hear how other pet owners enjoy their four legged friends. I think that some of us do spoil them a little, I know we do!

shout out to the cats!

I just had to chime in with a picture of our kitty, Belle. This is her first Christmas with us (we adopted her from a shelter a few months ago.) Neither our lab nor our 4 year old seem to bother her in her new [temporary] hang out!

Birdhouse/Cat Feeder

I saw this just this morning and couldn't pass up the opportunity to take the pictures. Is that a satisfied cat or what?

Love Freddie!

Bob,

Get your new pooch at the pound. You'll save a life and get a best friend. quite a bargain on several levels.
