Awwwww.

Was watching a story on the Today show this am about reuniting lost pets from the storm with their owners. Those are the lucky ones.

Saw a story and photo yesterday of a woman comforting a dying dog who was injured during the storm.

I can't watch that stuff, it tears my heart up. My family moved away from OK to get away from tornadoes before I was born. I don't know how folks can live knowing that kind of destruction can drop out of the sky like that. My heart goes out to all of those struggling through it right now.

..and it is so true that "stuff" can be replaced. It's the people that truly count, and first and foremost it's our families. Oh, and I include my two basset hounds in my family. When you see the destruction these folks are living through it most assuredly engages empathy. Losing a loved one is an inevitable part of life, but no parent should EVER lose a child.
