I'm glad you are going to feel better soon Oakley. I'm also glad your "mom" acted on what she felt instead of what was suggested. Pop Rivet is right - non pet lovers just wouldn't understand.

I suspect the shoe routine is to let you know that Oakley is feeling a lot better and thanks. There's nothing like dog saliva (or cat spit for those with that model of fur buddy) to set things right around a household.

Seems to me when it's that hot one would want to be out in some forest, tucked under the trees, a creek nearby if not directly beside, and some good books to peruse.

Great news about Oakley! You did the right thing by going back to your vet. I am a big fan and supporter of the ASPCA. They have a very good web site with alot of valuable information for pet owners. You can even get a free refrigerator magnet with the 800 number on it for the pet poison control hotline.
